Therapy for Adults
Life can feel like a lot sometimes. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in the same patterns, struggling with relationships, carrying things from your past, or simply realizing that you don’t feel like yourself lately. Maybe you know exactly what you want support with, or maybe you’re not quite sure yet. Therapy can give you a space to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and figure out what you need moving forward.
What type of support do you provide for adults?
Our therapists support adults through many different challenges and stages of life. This may include anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, substance use, trauma, divorce, grief and loss, relationship concerns, stress, burnout, self esteem, identity, major life changes, and feeling overwhelmed or simply stuck.
You do not have to know exactly what is wrong or have everything figured out before starting therapy. Sometimes you may just know that something has been feeling off, that you're having a harder time coping, or that you want a space to better understand yourself and what you need.
What can I expect from therapy at Sweet Bliss?
Therapy isn’t one size fits all. We take time to understand what brought you to therapy, what you would like to work on, and what feels most helpful to you. Some people come to therapy wanting concrete tools and strategies, while others need space to process, understand patterns, work through past experiences, or make sense of what they're feeling.
Your therapist will work alongside you to create an approach that is tailored to your needs, rather than expecting you to fit into one specific way of doing therapy.
How will my therapist work with me?
Our clinicians use a variety of evidence based and individualized approaches depending on your needs, goals, and preferences. Therapy may include learning practical coping strategies, exploring thought and behavior patterns, building emotional awareness, strengthening boundaries and communication, processing difficult experiences, or developing a better understanding of yourself.
Our clinicians use a variety of evidence based and individualized approaches depending on your needs, goals, and preferences. These may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, trauma informed care, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Solution Focused Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, mindfulness based techniques, integrative mental health approaches, Motivational Interviewing, and other therapeutic approaches. Your therapist may draw from different methods to create an approach that feels supportive and relevant to you, rather than using the exact same approach with every client.
How do I know which therapist is right for me?
We genuinely care about finding you a therapist who feels like the right fit. When matching you with a clinician, we take the time to consider what you’re looking for support with, your individual needs, preferences, availability, insurance, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy.
And sometimes, even when someone seems like a great match on paper, it may not feel like the right fit once you meet. That’s completely okay. You always have the option to explore working with another clinician on our team. Our goal is not simply to get you scheduled. We want to help you find someone you feel comfortable with, supported by, and able to be yourself with. We’re here to help you throughout that process.
